A CLEARER START

Make your first
move a mindful one.

Ledger Live brings key wallet tasks into one desktop and mobile workspace. Before opening the app, download it only from Ledger’s official website or your device’s trusted app store. Check the publisher, keep the app updated, and never follow installation links sent unexpectedly by strangers. Your recovery phrase belongs offline and should never be typed into an app, website, or support chat.

Once inside, take time to understand the account overview and the difference between a portfolio estimate and a confirmed on-chain balance. Market values can move quickly; a displayed total is a snapshot, not a promise. Add only accounts you recognize, and review network names before receiving funds. A small test transfer can help verify an address and destination before a larger transaction.

Treat every approval as a decision. Read the asset, amount, network, recipient, and fees on the trusted device screen; cancel if details differ from what you intended. A hardware wallet helps keep private keys isolated, but it cannot make a deceptive website trustworthy. Bookmark resources you use, pause when a message creates urgency, and research unfamiliar tokens independently. No legitimate support agent needs your recovery phrase.

Self-custody rewards careful habits: verify, pause, and protect offline backups.
